Job Title: Bakery Sales Associate
Job Summary: To perform the day-to-day selling operations of bakery department and to provide excellent service to customers
Key Responsibilities:
FRESH QUALITY BAKED PRODUCTS
• Regularly check displayed and pre-packed products for quality deterioration or spoilage.
• Monitors the temperature of displayer to maintain right level of heat for freshly baked goods.
• Assists in receiving and inspection of prepared bakery goods from suppliers for quality and accuracy.
• Assists bakers in cleaning utensils and materials used in the kitchen.
• Reports on bad orders and disposal to superiors
• Assists bakers to endorse return of bad orders to suppliers during pick-up.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
• Assists buying customers in the selection and/or location of products in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Re-heats baked products in the oven as deemed appropriate and requested by the customer.
• Tags all pre-packed bakery products with accurate price.
• Arranges displayed pre-packed products according to categories.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the bakery selling area.
STOCK MONITORING & REPLENISHMENT
• Assists bakers in recording and checking expiry dates of supplies and ingredients in the stockroom.
• Replenishes gondola with baked goods from time to time.
• Assists in Disposal of bad order products according to standard procedures in disposal.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/ PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Preferably College graduate, or at least 2years college education with Vocational training
1-2 years related work experience preferred
