Meat and Poultry Sales Associate

FRESH QUALITY MEAT/POULTRY

•  Assists the butchers in simple tasks of cutting, grinding, or slicing of meat products.

•  Assists in preparing marinated meats, value-added and ready-to-cook dishes.

•  Prepares reports on bad orders and disposal.

•  Endorses Return of bad orders to suppliers during pick-up.

•  Brings products to the freezer/chillers following the ‘first-in, first-out’ procedure.

•  Regularly monitors the proper temperature of freezer and chiller.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

•  Assists customers with their purchases at the meat and poultry section in a friendly manner.

•  Slices retail cuts meat further into individual size servings or in a manner requested by the customer.

•  Pack and store products for display and sale.

•  Weights sold meat products for appropriate and accurate price tagging.

•  Provides proactive advice to customers about alternative cuts, cooking methods or nutritional aspects of meat.

•  Maintains cleanliness and orderliness in assigned workstation, backroom, storage and surrounding areas before, during and after store operations in compliance to health and sanitary guidelines.

STOCK MONITORING & REPLENISHMENT

•  Replenishes, creates, and maintains meat displays of all product mix to minimize waste.

•  Monitors acceptable inventory level in the display and storage areas. 

•  Monitors fast and slow-moving SKUs to provide the superior basis for product re-ordering in coordination with merchandising.

•  Disposes bad order products according to standard procedures in disposal.
